Education Support
Education Support Program
The Education Support Program helps tenants of all ages work towards their study goals by providing practical support with the costs of education. If you or someone in your household is studying, this program can assist with:
- computers, laptops, software or printers.
- course fees or private tutors.
- textbooks, study guides or stationery.
- specialist equipment (for example medical, art, music or photography).
- other education-related costs may also be considered.
We also offer additional support for tenants who have previously received Education Support and are continuing tertiary study through our Scholarship Outstanding Achiever Round (SOAR) Program. If you would like to know more, please contact our team.

About the Program
Sheila Astolfi (1939 – 2010)
The Sheila Astolfi Education Support Scholarship Program was established in 2010 in memory of Pacific Link Housing’s founder and Chief Executive of 25 years, Sheila Astolfi, who worked tirelessly in the local community to support access to housing and opportunity. Through the Education Support Program, Pacific Link Housing has supported hundreds of tenants to work towards their education goals.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, you must:
- be a tenant or household member of a Pacific Link Housing property for more than 3 months.
- have all rent and non-rent payments up to date.
- be enrolled in a nationally recognised education provider at the time of application.
- provide evidence of enrolment if requested.
Meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee support. Applications are assessed based on eligibility and level of need, and a limited number of places are available each year.
Guidelines
To ensure the program is delivered fairly, the following guidelines apply:
- two application rounds are held each year (January and June).
- items or fees are paid directly to suppliers or education providers.
- funds are not paid directly to applicants.
