Housing Pathways Application Process

In NSW, all applications for community and social housing are managed through the NSW Government’s Housing Pathways program.

Pacific Link Housing is one of several community housing providers within this system. When a suitable property becomes available, you may be offered housing by Pacific Link Housing or another provider.

Step 1

Check Eligibility

Review the eligibility criteria on the Housing Pathways website.

Step 2

Provide your details

You will be asked questions about your situation and will need to provide documents to confirm your identity and income.

Step 3

Submit your application

Apply online or call Housing Pathways on 1800 422 322 for assistance.

Once approved, you will be placed on the NSW Housing Register, which is used by all social housing providers. Waiting times can vary depending on the type of housing you need, your preferred location and demand in your area.

Urgent and Short-Term Housing

Crisis Accommodation

If you need emergency accommodation, contact Link2home on 1800 152 152.

This is a free 24-hour service that provides information and referrals for people experiencing homelessness, including those escaping domestic and family violence. They can connect you with crisis accommodation and support services across NSW.

Housing for Women Over 55

Pacific Link Housing offers transitional housing in partnership with Women’s Community Shelters for women over 55 who are at risk of homelessness.

This program is located in Lake Macquarie and provides short-term accommodation and support while you work towards securing longer-term housing.

Please note that Pacific Link Housing does not manage housing applications directly. All applications for social housing in NSW are managed through the NSW Government’s Housing Pathways program.
