Pacific Link Housing Announces Future Leadership Transition

The Board of Pacific Link Housing has announced a planned leadership transition whereby CEO Ian Lynch will move to a new role within the organisation as Chief Growth and Commercial Officer, following the future appointment of a new CEO.

In his new role, Ian will continue to focus on growth opportunities across the Pacific Link Housing Group, including working with partners and supporting the continued development of social enterprise subsidiaries Key2 Realty and Renew Projects.

The transition will take place once a new CEO has been appointed, with recruitment expected to begin in the coming month.

Pacific Link Housing Chairman Wal Edgell said the planned transition would provide continuity for the organisation while strengthening its leadership capacity for the future.

“This transition provides additional capacity without the disruption or risk often associated with a change of CEO. It will provide continuity for our staff, tenants, community and government partners.”

Ian became CEO of Pacific Link Housing in August 2019, after previously serving as Chief Financial Officer.

During his seven years as CEO, he has led the organisation through a period of significant change, including the COVID-19 pandemic and increasing housing pressures, while overseeing substantial growth across the Pacific Link Housing Group.

The move will allow Ian to focus more closely on growth, commercial opportunities and partnerships, while continuing to contribute his experience and knowledge to Pacific Link Housing.

Current CEO, Ian Lynch said he was proud of what the organisation had achieved and looked forward to supporting its next chapter.

“Being CEO of Pacific Link Housing has been the most rewarding experiences of my career. I am incredibly proud of what our team has achieved and grateful to have had the opportunity to lead such a committed organisation.

“I’m excited to move into this new role, where I can increase my focus on opportunities for growth and continue contributing to Pacific Link Housing and the communities we serve.”

Ian will continue as CEO throughout the recruitment process and will work closely with his successor to support a smooth transition.
