Western Sydney University has completed a review of tenant satisfaction following Pacific Link’s refurbishment of the 100-home Dunbar Way social housing estate in North Gosford.

Regional community housing group, Pacific Link Housing, has added 36 units to help address the need for additional social housing on the Central Coast.

Speaking at a handover ceremony at which Pacific Link was given the future management of the units by the NSW Land and Housing Corporation, Pacific Link Chairman, Mr David Bacon, said:

“The great majority of those on waiting lists for housing on the Central Coast – as well as many of those now in housing – have a stated preference for unit living in line with commercial housing trends.

Pacific Link Housing Chairman David Bacon (below right) has announced the appointment of Richard Westwood (left) as Executive Property and Assets Manager.

PACIFIC LINK NAMED HOUSING PROVIDER OF THE YEAR

Local community housing provider, Pacific Link has crowned an award-winning year by being named NSW Community Housing Provider of the Year at the top of a field of more than 120 organisations.

The Central Coast-based not-for-profit won two awards at the recent NSW Federation of Housing Associations annual conference, taking out the Excellence in Customer Service Award before being jointly named Housing Provider of the Year with development partner Sydney-based Evolve Housing.

Gosford-based Pacific Link Housing has won a contract to provide asset management services to the Summer Foundation, a not for profit agency working on innovative housing models to suit young people with disability now trapped in nursing homes because there is nowhere else for them to go. Formed in 2006 the Summer Foundation has developed two demonstration projects to show how housing suitable for people with disability Can be included in commercial residential projects.
